Our Love Story Begins Today

I’m generally a fan of transparency. I can’t recall anytime so far where I haven’t preferred it. I know you always groan at finances, so here you go: January and February are done and both months are not the norm. We’ll see how March goes. But if you look at X, you can see that we only have about $550 left each month for groceries, takeout, gas, God, and miscellaneous. So I really feel that we probably need at least $5500 each month to stay positive. Anyhow, if you have any questions let me know. TTQD!!!

I don’t know if you enjoy checking things off your to do list as much as I do. It’s great. I got a lot done today. Specifically, cleaning Vinh’s room and I put up the license plate for you. I also scrubbed all your poop residue. I started the renewal for my global entry. I worked. I cleaned the dishes and high chair. And other things. Thank goodness I work from home. I hope you and Vinh enjoy dinner tonight. ITYGN!!

They say that money can’t buy happiness. I think that’s just what rich people tell poor people so they don’t pursue money. I think having money is better than not having money. It’s really about how much you have and how you spend it really. I’m always amazed when I see the rewards and annual credit card statements. It looks crazy, but a lot of the spending is on bills and other people who pay me back. Still it’s pretty amazing. State refund has been issued, so should get it soon. Federal still pending. AKGT.

I feel like the DMV closest to our house is always a mess. But broadway is so far. Coincidentally, you texted the group about a similar question. Although I had a bad experience in the parking lot once at Broadway. Guess you can’t expect it to be perfect. So many faulty looking and acting mi dans here. Anyhow, I’ll let you know the verdict. 🙏 He has to wear glasses when driving, but otherwise good. 😅

I just wanted to say that you’re doing a great and efficient job putting Vinh to sleep the last few days. If only you could do the same for blowing. I was thinking about encouraging you by saying the faster you make me den, the more time for foot massage… Didn’t screenshot the picture from last night, but here is this morning. ATEN!!!

My golf game sucks. Guess I’m not one of those who benefits from golfing less. It’s gonna be really interesting tomorrow. Hopefully I don’t hurt anyone or myself.  Wonder if Tao could have fixed my game. Not sure, but golf is not enjoyable for me when I can’t execute. Need to figure out how to improve, but it seems like when I try to practice I suck more. WWW!!

Look what I did today and it really hurts. Man, it’s gonna make life pretty inconvenient for a while. I was looking forward to massaging your feet tonight and now I don’t think I can… Getting old sucks. This is gonna take forever to heal probably. FML. Anyhow, please don’t burn yourself. Today at Winco, after I rang up everything, I felt accomplished because I was gonna make a lot of food for only $39. I hope you and Vinh enjoy it. I got a lot done today. Sadly, we can’t do anything about Vinh’s ailments. Anyhow, I know I relax a little once you get home. I hope it doesn’t bother you too much because I bust my butt all day long. WWW!!!

Hope you feel better. Please don’t break this cup until I can buy more when they’re on sale. Thanks for washing Vinh’s butt and other stuff. Keep working hard to be better. We all can be better. TTQD!!

Not North’s girlfriend, but the act of. If we want grace from others we can’t withhold it from others. It’s a two way street.  Remember when we point at someone, there are 4 more fingers pointing back at us. Let us work on giving grace during this Lenten season.

What a coincidence that they talked about dying oneself at mass today. I guess it’s coming from a religious source. Anyhow, just a reminder. Are we living the promise from the retreat? I’ve always found the Lenten season my favorite thing about being a Catholic. An opportunity to self reflect and self improve for the better of one’s self and those around us. It’s been a slow start, so praying for a strong finish. ✝️

I wasn’t planning on going to swim, but it’s a good thing I did. Guess who packed you bun bo hue? Quynh did. I didn’t even have to ask. Currently winning. We will see where I end. Got li xi for Vinh too. Hoping Vinh is doing good as MJ trip is bearing fruit. Thanks for letting me play. ATEN!!!

It’s too bad I’ll be “working” Monday. Hopefully he’ll be back to his normal self by then. Don’t want him to have a bad time in daycare.  Besides the birthday party Sunday and a few appointments, we have a pretty free weekend. I’m hoping we’ll be able to check off a lot of things we haven’t been able to do. TLG!!!

I feel like love songs feel different today. Anyhow, I was just thinking how you felt before we met? Were you looking for a partner? How do you feel when you listen to love songs or do you? I’m taking a break from cleaning the house and organizing. Almost forgot I have to stop by FedEx. Hope you’re feeling better. ATEN!!!

Fat Tuesday. I feel like I didn’t take adequate advantage of it today.  I almost didn’t eat lunch today, but figured I needed to, but the coupons for subway expired so I got this. Very good, but more than I wanted to spend. I felt like I should splurge cause tomorrow is the start of Lent. I had a good breakfast too. Are you gonna do anything for Lent? ATCS?

Sorry if you’re sad that we’re home, but I’m happy to be home again. Not in any malicious way, but more about being in our own free space. Not dependent on others.  Sorry we didn’t get Duc Huong. Who knew banh tieu was $2.50 for one. I thought $1 was a lot. Sorry if I’m a little late today. Who thought Duc Huong would be closed. Wonder how many of these people at Huong Lan are WWW like me. TTQD!!!

And so it ends. Do Cruise 2024. I hope you had a good time. I’m sorry if I made any part difficult. I tried really hard to remember that this is your family trip and I should try to look at it as a job.  I know I had some tense moments, but I guess it’s just like what happens at work when frustrating situations arise. I’m working on finding ways to deal with matters like that in the future. Like just saying “Okay, you’re right” and moving on. I can’t force anyone to be right if they don’t want to. TLG 😂 

I don’t know what your zodiac animal is, but I hope the dragon smiles upon us this year.  Our lives are pretty good, but it doesn’t mean we should rest on our laurels. Let’s celebrate our successes and continue to work on our failures. Our lives are a journey not a destination. I hope you enjoyed the cruise and the time with your family. ATYGN!!!

Today’s email from Family Life was about Malaria in relationships. How left untreated can be deadly. I think something that you already know that I hate is wasted time, related wasted opportunities. I recall how you did not want to be late to Jenny and Tan’s party, but you’ve rarely had that enthusiasm about anything else. Similar, you’ll say you don’t want to waste the chance to spend with time with your son (even though you slept through most of it). I just wish you had that same desire and enthusiasm when it came to other things. You know how it feels to wait for people and how it feels to miss out. I feel that way a lot more than I’d like to and I hope you can try to help me feel it less. 🙏 TLG!!!

Hope you’re not to sad, but today was the last port day. It’s basically time to start preparing for the eventual arrival in NYC and back to California. Someone likes noodles like his daddy. It’s too bad he doesn’t like other stuff his daddy likes, like proteins, but I’m glad he didn’t like the ice cream. Anyhow, hope you’re having a great trip. ASTEN!!!

Today is probably gonna be a long day. We had a long night with Boba Chop. It’s 7AM now and you Boba are sleeping. I hope you’re refreshed enough for today. Thanks for all you do. I finally understand what you must feel like at group events. As I watch you try to accommodate all your family, I can’t help but feel stressed. It’s your family, so I can see why you don’t want to do one on one. So maybe you can understand my point of view. Today we went “Rolex shopping”, but we don’t really need more Rolexes. I’m pooping and taking this time to blog. Thanks for the blow. How unexpected. Super fail on my part for not packing enough clothes. Although you think my wife would have told me I couldn’t do laundry on the ship without costing an arm and a leg… Looks like I’ll be wearing clothes a little longer than normal. I hope I don’t stink too much, but you should tell me if I do. I wish I had brought more pants now. I literally brought more shorts thinking I could do laundry for pants. WWW…
